ANDREW DOMINIK

Mi pare di capire però che il successivo Cogan sia solo una parziale conferma del talento di Dominik. Come mai secondo voi?

Premettendo che per me neanche il precedente è un capolavoro (l'ho trovato un po' prolisso e didascalico ma non solo), credo che Cogan sia un buon film, intrattiene bene. Il problema è che ha il fiato troppo corto, nel senso che quello che doveva essere solo un sottotesto a fare da cornice (la crisi economica), diventa il punto centrale del film, anche qui tra l'altro in maniera didascalica. Per il resto, me lo sono goduto, è una via di mezzo tra un gangster movie alla Scorsese e Tarantino.

Strafumati, per quanto di lunghezza debordante (causata soprattutto dal fatto che nel finale per mezz'ora a più riprese Danny McBride sembra che sia morto e invece no!), è uno dei film che più mi hanno fatto spanciare dopo l'INEGUAGLIATA era ZAZ. Già nell'incipit in bianco e nero la faccia di Bill Hader fa subito simpatia, ma soprattutto durante la scena in cui corrono in macchina con il piede di James Franco fuori dal parabrezza mi si stava slogando la mascella. Gli voglio tanto bene anche perché è il primo film che ho visto al cinema con la mia compagna!

Strafumati, per quanto di lunghezza debordante (causata soprattutto dal fatto che nel finale per mezz'ora a più riprese Danny McBride sembra che sia morto e invece no!), è uno dei film che più mi hanno fatto spanciare dopo l'INEGUAGLIATA era ZAZ.
